This blog started out as a family blog. The name derives from the fact that, according to the Chinese Zodiac, all the members of my household are Monkeys. Somehow, my hobbies started taking over, and I finally gave in. You'll still see an occasional "family" post, but mostly, this Monkey likes to show off.

Everyone: "Oh little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie..."
Melchior, screaming: "Oh my God!"
Balthazar: "Run for your life!"
Caspar: "I'd hate for this to go to waste..."
Aw man, they took my screen direction for HTML tags. Let's try this again.
SETTING, EXTERIOR OF MANGER, NIGHT. A SMALL GROUP OF PEOPLE AND ANIMALS ARE GATHERED AROUND A NEWBORN INFANT, SOFTLY SINGING IN THREE-PART HARMONY.
Everyone: "Oh little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie..."
MEANWHILE, AN ENORMOUS TURTLE LUMBERS SLOWLY INTO VIEW TO STAND OVER THE GROUP. HE PEERS DOWN AT THEM CURIOUSLY.
Melchior: "Oh my God!"
THE SINGING CUTS OFF RAGGEDLY, AS EVERYONE LOOKS UP. THERE IS A MOMENT'S PAUSE.
Balthazar, screaming: "Run for your life!"
CHAOS ERUPTS. PEOPLE GRAB ANIMALS AND THE BABY AND START RUNNING IN EVERY DIRECTION. THE TURTLE STANDS STILL AND LOOKS CONFUSED, BUT HAPPY.
A SMALL MAN WITH A LONG BEARD RUNS BACK INTO THE SCENE.
Caspar: "Frankincense makes me sneeze, but I'd hate for this to go to waste..." HE GATHERS UP THE GOLD AND MYRRH, AND RUNS OFF AGAIN.
